After three nights, your off to Xian the ancient capital of eleven dynasties and an archaeological treasure trove. One day visit the magnificent Terra Cotta Warriors, a vast collection of more than 7000 finely sculpted, life-sized soldiers, horses and chariots that were entombed with Qin Shi Huang, China’s first Emperor. Another day you will visit Donghan Village, where you will immerse yourself in the local culture, see how country life hasn’t changed over 100s of years.
After three nights, fly from Xian to Lhasa, the ‘Roof of the World’ 11,000 feet above sea level, fabled capital of the Tibet autonomous region in China, nestled on the northern slopes of the mighty Himalayas. On one of the days you will stand in awe at the astonishing Potala Palace - one of the grandest monuments in all of Asia. Built in the 17th century, the palace boasts more than 1000 rooms, including the Red Palace (where the Dalai Lama once lived), 10,000 active chapels, and a labyrinth of mysterious dungeons. Visit the awe-inspiring landscape, overwhelming devoted religion, welcoming and friendly Tibetan people, the long-standing customs and tradition.
Once stepping on the land of Tibet, you will have entered one of the most isolated places in the world. After three nights, fly to Beijing, the sprawling capital of modern China. A highlight will be a visit to Beijing’s awe-inspiring 2000-year-old Great Wall of China, one of the most spectacular structures ever built by man, spanning nearly 4000 miles of China’s northern frontier. You will also experience a visit to Tiananmen Square, the Ming Tombs, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace. But no visit is complete without a stop at the Beijing Zoo, you will meet one of the adorable Giant Panda Bears, China’s most relaxed local celebrity and perhaps watch them munch on bamboo and watermelon!
